Overview

Strengthening an Inclusive and Anti-Discriminatory Campus

Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) has a current and officially implemented Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) policy. This institutional commitment is formally regulated through the Rector’s Circular Letter Ref. No.: 1c/Rek/UIII/SE.01/1/2025 regarding the “Policy for Strengthening an Inclusive and Anti-Discriminatory Campus.”

To uphold the values of humanity, equality, and diversity, and to firmly align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the University has established a comprehensive action plan. This policy serves as a binding guideline to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the entire academic community.

Key highlights of our EDI policy include:

Equal Opportunity & Access: UIII is strictly committed to being an inclusive campus that provides equal opportunities, access, and services to all members of the academic community without distinction of ethnicity, religion, race, gender, social status, physical ability, culture, or other minority groups.

Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: Every lecturer, education staff member, and student is required to actively foster a learning, working, and interaction environment that is completely free from all forms of discrimination, verbal and nonverbal violence, harassment, and bullying.

Inclusive Programs & Active Outreach: All work units within UIII are mandated to develop and implement programs that are friendly and accessible to all campus residents. They must integrate inclusivity into academic and public services, as well as conduct continuous outreach and education on the values of tolerance, diversity, and anti-discrimination.

Protection of Rights: The university explicitly guarantees the rights and safety of all academic community members, including women and minority groups.
